Wayne Ledbetter

    My Story

    Wayne Ledbetter is a retired teacher who spent his entire 42-year career with USD 343. In addition to teaching, he also coached and worked with program development and management in Perry-Lecompton schools. Wayne served eight years as a county commissioner for Jefferson County, Kansas.

    ​

    He has an appreciation and commitment to service and to his community. In addition to his position on the Hamm Foundation Board, Wayne is a member of the USD 343 Endowment Board, the Perry-Lecompton Community Library Board, and is an active member of Perry Pride. He is currently volunteering for the City of Perry in a community development role.

    ​

    Wayne has been married to his wife Lynn for 47 years and has three children and two grandchildren. He is a lifelong resident of Jefferson County and has lived in Perry, Kansas for over 40 years. Wayne enjoys working, spending time with his family, reading, and traveling with his wife.
